Anyone Can Lose Weight

Losing weight is a tough and demoralizing battle for many people. Like everyone else, I’ve tried many ways to shed the fat and it seemed impossible.

But in 2013, at the age of 37, after much research, trial and error…I managed to lose 10kg in eight months without starving myself, taking pills or going for any surgery.

Then, at the encouragement of my friends, I wrote an e-book to share my research and experience on how anyone could lose weight easily.

Over 9,000 people have shared and read this e-book in its pre-release editions!

Being overweight brings risks

Singapore has the second-highest proportion of diabetics among the developed nations, a new report by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) revealed. It said 10.53 per cent of people here aged between 20 and 79 are estimated to have the chronic disease, after correcting for age differences between the countries. Only the United States fared worse, with a percentage of 10.75. These results are worrying but not surprising, according to local doctors, as Singaporeans are becoming less active and eating more high-calorie diets, both of which increase the risk of diabetes. – The Straits Times, 2 Dec 2015

Yes, Singapore is a hotpot of food cultures and people love eating out and looking for the best dishes at all times. But at what cost? The culture of excess here often leads to obesity, and in turn creates risks like diabetes, strokes, heart attacks and other weight-related diseases.

My research showed that it really boils down to understanding how we eat today in a first-world country like Singapore or the United States, and what we’ve all gotten wrong about food, exercise and calories.

Before And After

Just as slimming center needs to do “Before vs After” marketing, here’s some photographic proof that I can walk the talk:



In 2012, I was 73.5kg and rather overweight for my 1.71m height. After I figured out how to lose weight healthily, I came down to a much healthier weight of 63kg in 2013 within eight months.

This is not a short-term solution

Of course, it’s not enough just to lose weight, you gotta keep it down. And here is Photo Exhibit B where I demonstrate that with a proper diet, you can keep your weight more or less constant all the time.


My Fitbit Aria daily weight records from Dec 2013 to Dec 2017 (4 years) where I’ve kept my weight consistent from 63kg to 64kg with my revised eating and exercise habits.
